Speculation about a possible split between Nollywood stars, Peggy Ovire and Frederick Leonard, has intensified after the actress removed her husband’s name from her Instagram bio.
Checks on her Instagram page on Thursday revealed that Leonard’s name, previously visible in her profile, has now been deleted.
The development comes amid persistent rumours of marital trouble, which neither party has publicly addressed.
As of the time of filing this report, both Ovire and Leonard have remained silent on the matter and have not issued any official statement to debunk the rumours of separation.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2022, have also noticeably avoided public appearances together in recent months and have not exchanged birthday greetings on social media.
Rumours of a rift first surfaced in December 2024 when Ovire shared a Christmas photo of herself in pyjamas without Leonard. Further speculation was fuelled in May 2025 when she posted a video preparing for a wedding event — this time without her wedding band.

Naija News reports that for many months, there have been speculations that the Nollywood stars are having cracks in their union and are no longer together.
The couple also fuelled the rumours after they stopped posting their lovey-dovey moments on social media.
However, Yul, in a post via Instagram on Wednesday, dropped a shocker, declaring his love for Judy on her birthday.
The thespian also shared a video pouring encomiums on Judy with a caption.
He wrote, “Happy birthday to you, Nwunye Odogwu, Ijele Odogwu, Ijele Isi Mmili ji Ofor, Okwulu Okalisia. judyaustin1 My love.”
