Bankole Olowokere is set to be appointed as the new head coach of Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL side, Osun Babes.
Olowokere is expected to replace Wole Animashaun, who resigned from the position last week.
According to reports, Olowokere is favoured by the club’s hierarchy to lead the team on their return to the NWFL.
Olowokere was in charge of Nigeria’s Flamingos at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Osun Babes are expected to unveil Olowokere as their new head coach before the start of the new season.
The 2025–26 NWFL season will commence on Wednesday, 26 November.
