- RURAL NIGRIA, an online news magazine, is published by Rural Nigeria News Services Limited: RC 1288908. We are a team of media scholars and practicing journalists with primary interest and specialty in Nigeria’s rural communities – with a view to reporting activities thereon for sustainable developmental attention. With our evidence-based research and reportage, we avail governments and other decision makers with timely data for critical actions.
- Through our insightful interviews, reportage, features, and editorials, we interrogate the actions ofthe Nation’s political classat the local, state, and federal levels– by assessing their compliance to the development performance index[DPI] on their core rural constituencies – in line with the UN’s sustainable development goals [SDG].
- Regardless of the flat theory in the media ecosystem, rural contents are still grossly underreported in Nigeria; and we are determined to focus our reportage on those – in keeping with our mandate of enacting peaceful coexistence between the indigenous peoples and their visitors.
4.In the nation’s media space therefore, while our colleagues play in the cities, we dwell on the hinterlands – speaking for the Nigerian rural masses; and pushing their concerns to the fore for national and global discourses. Hence, our motto: ‘’local news for global use’’.

[3] We are envisioned as a convergent warehouse for the nation’s academia, researchers and newsroom practitioners by providing objective news contents that may help drive harmonious public discourse and reinstate the African core values; without compromising on contemporary global civilization/development index.
[4] Through our friendly interface with the rural populace, we inculcate in Nigerian rural dwellers the need to preserve their natural environments by avoiding such actions like bush burning and other lifestyles against flora & fauna that promote climate change.

Therefore, at RURAL NIGERIA NEWS SERVICES, if a piece of information is not for the advancement of a community’s living and the enthronement of peace among its people, such cannot make theeditorial content of RURALNIGERIA as a news medium.
